totally appropriate for the president to address students of our country
about academic performance. Unfortunately America is falling behind on
a global scale in Academic achievement.
I hope America brings up their scores. Thanks Obama for encouraging our
youth. And as far as all of the hublahh with him addressing the
students...since when doesn't the President visit schools and make
speeches. All of this excessive criticism of Obama over nothing is
masked racism, This is what happens when burning crosses on lawns
becomes illegal. Racist people get more crafty with their expressions
of prejudice. Smh very unfortunate.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you 100%! This was very appropriate and very much needed. Our children are falling behind academically, while students from other countries are far exceeding them.
We are failing to the point that I am thinking seriously about homeschooling my child so that I am sure he is getting what he needs to be a major contributor. I think President Obama made a noble move in addressing the nation and speaking directly to the students of our nation.
Words are very powerful and they stick, so hearing the President tell you to do better in school is very monumental.
