Sexiest Scientist Present Day Daniel Pauly
The End of The Line

This documentary was one of the scariest films ever! The reality that we are destroying our earth is so depressing and in the name of profit that won't mean anything if we have no resources to trade money over. Damn its sad how stupid can be sometimes. I dun like seafood so im not the devil this time :)
Fishing is so barbaric most people consider fish an alternative to eating meat, and that its healthier or that its a less crime against humanity. These ideas are total discrimination and stem from extreme ignorance. If people were able to witness the huge beautiful fish that they usually see in a tiny fillet, or ho this beautiful animal was killed and how it bleeds red just like we do I don't think people would eat as much fish. In the meantime I'ma stick to fruit and veggies maybe chicken but not a lot. lol
Girlfight

I really liked how Michelle (Diana Guzman) asked her trainer what do you need to be great? and later in the movie this question was answered when he said "Inside do you know yourself?" (she answers yes) and he goes "then that's all you need" Powerful!
Also her overcoming her father and beating the guy she fought was awesome.
Another interesting part was when they were describing different kinds of heat in her class. there's heat that moves an engine which can represent regular people who are motivated by basic struggles and stress to do something to become something then there are those of us who are going through sooo much more struggle and stress and issues and this type of heat can create an explosion and a star. I thought that piece was great and very meaningful because there are any examples in our society of regular people who do regular stuff and then there are the hero stories of people from poor, and tough backgrounds with tons of issues who become amazing= stars in many cases. Michelle's character Diana Guzman did just this. She was growing up in a society that taught women to aim for secretarial work and to be beaten by men, and used. Diana decided on her own that this was ridiculous and not for her. Diana was able to see through her immediate surroundings into what should be allowed for women, she fought against the odds against "science" which would say that women cannot fight men becuase they are weaker even at the same size and weight. Diana was a winner despite all these obstacles and discrimination. Diana was a star and a hero. This character Diana is amazing and Michelle Rodriguez was the perfect vehicle to bring Diana's qualities to light. I also like how the strong girl got the hot guy in the end NICE!
overall good movie inspiring message and as always Michelle Rodriguez ROCKS!
You know I think Michelle would make a great actor for the female lead in the romance novel Dancing in the moonlight... that character is sooo Michelle Rodriguez :)

Race Rape and Abortion
Historicaly in the Unites States of America, Africa, the West Indies ...anywhere there were black women and white men ....anywhere there were women and white men ..anywhere there were white men and living creautures ...>_>some inanimate objects we know that there was rape. Lots of rape, abuse etc.
The legacy that this abuse leaves is mixed race children..but why? Why didn't these women have abortions? Why did these wromged women from all over the world choose to carry and give birth to children who were fathered by someone who attacked them and continuously abused them? Was it that abortions were not redily availablem were risky? Were too expensive? Was it that they didn't believe in abortion? Was it that as a mother they loved the child they were carying regardless of who the father was or the circumstances under which they became pregnant?
In a racialy stratified society where color equals oppressed and white equals aggressor, intruder, ruler, successful there must have been some tension wihin the woman's community especially with her spouse concerning her obviously mixed child that she would still tend to. Why did these women choose to go through this? It must have been cripplingly embarassing for a Dark Skinned Black Woman who was enslaved to be seen coddling, nursing and burping a Mocha Latte brown child that EVERYONE knows resulted from rape.
Could you imagine being in a hostile war like social situation where white people just pulled up in boats beat the hell out of your mother, siser, or wife and months later she's singing to this high yellow child OoO that must be sum SH*T!
How does that woman deal with it? How does everyone around her deal with it? How does that affect everyone emotionally and psychologically?
In Vietnam the children of the women who were victimized by American soliders are teased, shun, mistreated basically totally rejected. It seems as though in their society there is no bonus to being mixed especially not being fathered by a white American solider.
In America and in the Carribean it has become a Super bonus to be mixed..to the point where lots of women of color will have a child with a white street person just so that their kids have mixed features. These mixed children are sported as a badge of honour, a fashion statement, a family statement of wealth and privilege even though in most cases this is totally not true. Its important for me to clarify that its not only women of color who do this..the soot black men having children with refrigerator shaped white women who are all out societal rejects are legion!
Let me tell you a story I personally witnessed, about this guy dark skinned black guy at work,...he works at a buger joint so he is no big deal and he is overweight. So this white lady comes in who is obviously mentally challenged *has the head and everything* with their little daughter...really u have a child with a Mentally Challenged person ?? Seriously?? And then he had the nerve to look embarassed if that's ur boo boo do u, don't be ashamed now. W..e whose to say he had that child with a mentally challenged person just because he wanted a mixed kid that bad...but I gotta feelin *holds up pointer finger*
Anyway to get back on topic what motivates women to keep and care for children who are a product of rape in hostile situations that are made even more complex by racial stratification?
Talk to you soon,

Well this Crains article is basically the swan song for that generation sighting hurt feeling over being the scrificial intelligent lambs to endure these rough neighborhoods gentrify them and then to be forced out by high rent. lmao damn thats crazy!! I have never heard this side of the story, u kno one of the gentrification crowd cmpalining about the high rents, its sort f like racism double back firing smgdmfh! Duane Reade Lazy Ass Clerk

Okay so apparently the Duane Reade on 63rd drive has some lazy big ass employees. LMfao one of my diligent readers sent me in a complaint to put the store clerk from the Duane Reade on 63rd dive on blast because he wouldnt ring him up for the sale price because he didnt have the little discont store club card. lmfao yo u know how the clerks usually ask u if you have a store card and u go: "no" (even tho u know damn well u have one sitting right in your wallet)- and then they ring the store discount card for you so u still get the discount. So this time the clerk apparently got buck and was like naw i cant ring the store card for you yor just not gunna get the sale, so the customer is like o hell no im not miss out on like five dollars worth of sales so I wanna sign up for a new card. the clerk huff and puffs waddles his big ass over to get the card application reluctantly hands the customer the app and processes the new discount card, by the time the discount card was activated the transaction had gone thru without the sales because the customer had swiped his card alredy. DAMMMN if thsi was me I wold been pissed. So the customer asked if the clerk could return the item so that he could re ring it with the discount card and get the sales but the clerk basically sed no out of lazyness, from what I understand the store was empty -____- but w.e. well next time little customer bring ur discount store card and use the phone number its connected to as for the big ass lazy munstr stpore clerk im sure a heart attack is headed your lazy big boned way soon lmfaoo ugh lazy pppl gosh..

What i want to know ...was Ntozak Shange supposed to be the abortion doctor played by Maci Grae?? This may be a total Stretch Armstrong reach but the way Maci's character was rambling about "being outhere in the world" I thought maybe she was supposed to be the all knowing crazy person that all of the stories originated from? yes?? ..no?? any takers?? am I out there? |

For Colored Girls Tyler Perry

Tyler Perry new movie For Colored Girls was great theatrically, but it was an emotional violation! This movie was so depressing, like I spent the rest of the night shell shocked from all of the tragedy and abuse that the characters endured. For all of those who have seen Precious, For Colored Girls is easily ten times more sad. The best way to describe this movie is jarring! The characters are so real so easy to relate to. I liked the poetry that was woven into the performances it was very artful. Tyler Perry did an awesome job!
Perry was successful at touching the audience and drawing a crowd. The line to see this movie was wrapped around the theater and down the block in NYC, an hour before showtime. The theater came alive with gasps and reactions throughout the show, and at the end several people left the theater bawling and emotionally. Everyone left emotionally exhausted to some extent. LMAO @ Whoopi Goldberg and EL Noh Heim *dead* smh ppl silly but she was great in that role.
All of the actors did an amazing job, Phylicia Rashad was classy and beautiful as always Thandie Newton stole the show Whoopie was awesome as usual lol. Go Tyler Perry for bringing this to film..HOOT! HOOT!
