Girlfight

Finally saw Girlfight I can finally be a true Michelle Rodriguez fan. This movie was amazing for a first film go Michelle. Michelle Rodriguez is soooo talented. This movie was good. the story flowed shout out to the directer on her first film also Kathy Kusame I think it was owwww! Girl power. Movies like this are so important and over rated, women are in y opinion the most oppressed creatures on the planet. more films like these would benefit our effort towards equality.

I really liked how Michelle (Diana Guzman) asked her trainer what do you need to be great? and later in the movie this question was answered when he said "Inside do you know yourself?" (she answers yes) and he goes "then that's all you need" Powerful!

Also her overcoming her father and beating the guy she fought was awesome.

Another interesting part was when they were describing different kinds of heat in her class. there's heat that moves an engine which can represent regular people who are motivated by basic struggles and stress to do something to become something then there are those of us who are going through sooo much more struggle and stress and issues and this type of heat can create an explosion and a star. I thought that piece was great and very meaningful because there are any examples in our society of regular people who do regular stuff and then there are the hero stories of people from poor, and tough backgrounds with tons of issues who become amazing= stars in many cases. Michelle's character Diana Guzman did just this. She was growing up in a society that taught women to aim for secretarial work and to be beaten by men, and used. Diana decided on her own that this was ridiculous and not for her. Diana was able to see through her immediate surroundings into what should be allowed for women, she fought against the odds against "science" which would say that women cannot fight men becuase they are weaker even at the same size and weight. Diana was a winner despite all these obstacles and discrimination. Diana was a star and a hero. This character Diana is amazing and Michelle Rodriguez was the perfect vehicle to bring Diana's qualities to light. I also like how the strong girl got the hot guy in the end NICE!

overall good movie inspiring message and as always Michelle Rodriguez ROCKS!

You know I think Michelle would make a great actor for the female lead in the romance novel Dancing in the moonlight... that character is sooo Michelle Rodriguez :)
