Integrity

Integrity is a very important part of every day life. In fact life as we know would not exist if it were not for integrity. I have noticed that slowly people are losing value for integrity. Everyday people seem to become just a little bit more corrupt than they were the day before. Technology has also become a tool of the immoral A.K.A (indentity theft, and internet scams). Currently it is not a surprise to come across in real life or to hear about someone via the grape vine or the news who has commited some deplorable act. The things we hear about on the news and consider abhorrent are only the next logical step for many immoral and rude acts that most would consider not a big deal. For example; two people fighting in public subsequently getting arrested. This example is only the next logical step to the many small spats and arguments that we all *especially in the NYC* witness everyday.

These tiny back and forths usually start over someone bumping into someone and not saying excuse me, stepping on someones foot without excusing themselves, and even more commonly over minor traffic disputes. Really, it should be considered outrageous for two adults to argue in public period the end. These unfortunate exchanges -if ever- should only take place one in a blue moon not a hundred times a day.

So much goes on "today" that 50 years ago would have been considered TOAT TALLY INSANE. Contemporary daily interaction, ie *arguing in public, yelling, being rude, violence* that just 50 years ago people would have looked at you like you were wearing doo-doo for lotion, now passes for weekday/broad daylight casual behavior. Our society is becoming grossly desensitized to violence and beligerence. This desensitization lends to the erosion of our integrity as humans. I know this sounds very morose BUT there is a bright side. These minor infractions can be easily corrected if we all check our manners on a daily basis. It takes two to argue, so even if one person is being egregiously unreasonable there should be the adult on the other end to balance things out. And if that is too hard the we could improve our collective integrity just by making sure that we are not being that egregiously unreasonable person. BINGO! PROBLEM SOLVED! :)

If this was a bit of a hefty upshot to grasp then take a look at the quick check list below.

WHEN YOU ARE IN AN EXTREMELY ANNOYING SITUATION;
1. THINK ABOUT WHAT YOUR GRANDMOTHER WOULD DO.
2. IF YOUR GRANDMOTHER IS NOT THE BEST ROLE MODEL, THEN THINK; WWJD, AND DO THAT.
3. IF YOU ARE NOT RELIGOUS, AND YOUR GRANDMOTHER HAD A TEMPER THEN CONSIDER WHAT OPTIMUS PRIME WOULD DO, AND DO THAT.

World peace down, global economy and world hunger to go!

Talk to you soon! :)
