This is why people hate immigrants and choose to be closed minded. Yesterday at Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill Cali were approached by the Vice Pricipal and told that because it was Cinco de Mayo they had to either take off their American Flag t shirts or wear them inside out. The Vice Principals reasoning was that since it was a Mexican holiday it was disrespectful to be American -_______- the students refused to take off their shirts and instead went home . I think this is ridiculous regardless to what holiday it is we are still in America we should be able to express our country pride, to be honest I don't believe that the boys wearing a tshirt with an american flag was any particular display of pride. American Flag t-shirts are very popular and very affordable thanks to OLD NAVY especially during the summer months. This is OUTRAGEOUS!!! If people from other countries are getting to the point where they think their culture is more important than someone elses they can go back whereever they came from! America is the most laid back, understanding and welcoming country in the whole world! The fact that we even celebrate Cinco De Mayo shows that we are welcoming someone elses culture and at the same time the fact that an American flag couldn't even be visible during their holiday shows how much they appreciate American culture and are willing to accept and share with Americans ...I'm heated. Who ever thought that Cinco De Mayo was sooooo deep that an American flag couldn't be worn needs to be deported! Btw *Ann Coulter's voice* if they care so much about Cinco de Mayo and the American flag is soo offensive to them then why are they in America?
Those kids that got sent home should recover lots in damages and the Vice Principle and who ever alse approved of them being dismissed early that day needs to be let go, relieved, reassigned, transferred w.e. In general it annoys me when a large number of immigrants settle in one area and then start acting like they run stuff = basically what happened to these students...this is text book discrimination, but the same people fight and protest for citizenship -___- the IRONY *hmph*
