Precious

this movie is good. Its gritty, its touching, its disturbing. Monique played this part! She really became the character in this role. She was so believable and disgusting. She was clearly psychotic. This film really shined light on a lifestyle that makes everything seems impossible. Precious was great her charcter was played really well too. the movie was so believable.

Mariah Carey's role as the social worker was so real. At the end when the social worker started to cry was the most memorable part of the whole film. Mariah Carey's role was awesome. This movie was based on the book Push by Sapphire. I remember reading this book in Junior High School and not being able to put it down. Seeing it on film brought so many of its characters to life. Great film I recommend reading the book first, but you could also read it after. One draw back of having read the book first was knowing what was going to happen next and wondering how the film would present it as opposed to how you imagined it.

The fact that this film, and story took place in Harlem was jarring...>_> It was believable -I LOVE YOU HARLEM *waves* - but it was a wake up call that even in the biggest city in the world these backwards afflicted isolated people do exist.

- when precious mother was like no you can't go to the welfare at night time
Favorite parts
- The Male nurse at the hospital was so nice
